Of course we don't turn all that sharply either. I like to run pro-ackerman on low downforce cars and less on ones that make lots of aero. Webb28 aug. 2004 · Ackerman can be used to improve corner turn-in w/o putting the castor someplace that would negatively impact high speed stability. Cake and you get to eat it. The firmer the surface the more pronounced the Ackerman effect, but I've not seen any evidence that it's presense is harmful in soft stuff.
