Webb5 maj 2024 · With inflation helping to set the I bonds interest rate, for the last six months, it was just over 7%. The new rate came out on Monday and it's now over 9%. Now, there are some caveats to I bonds. WebbI just started investing in I-bonds; grabbed some at the 7.12% rate. But that rate is guaranteed for 6 months, while you have to hold them for a minimum of 12, not knowing what your actual rate will be for the second half of the year.
